Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Sub Agent on behalf of a leading infrastructure company.

 

 

 

Job purpose:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Sub Agent to join the established team on an initial 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and controlling a section of the site works, and providing management of a team of Section Engineers.

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Guiding & coaching subordinates in technical requirements and techniques of setting out
• Guiding and coaching subordinates in resolution of construction issues, drawing on experience and accepted industry best practice
• Carrying out field audits and confirms the sufficiency of control documentation
• Producing and implementing Permits to Work, specifically Confined Space Permits and Hot Works Permits
• Strong understanding of temporary works and timescales for implementation into the works.
• Ownership of whole process of production, checking and submission of Handover Documentation (Green Files or equivalent)
• Carrying out Site Audits to check works and documentation compliance
• Coaching junior staff
• Liaising with designer to resolve technical issues
• Maintaining accurate diary, including dialogue with external organisations (subcontractors)
• Producing a budget from the resourced programme and monitors / reviews weekly costs
• Involvement in the procurement of subcontractors

 

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

• Extensive site-based experience
• Good working knowledge of supporting or leading on the implementation of salary sacrifice benefits
• Strong IT kills including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other databases or software 
• Excellent team player, able to work competently and independently without continuous supervision.
• Strong communication skills with solution orientated approach to issue resolution
• Excellent role model for development of junior staff and demonstrates required behaviours to align to project and team objectives.
• Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately. Suggests and implements improvements to systems
• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard.
• Has achieved professional accreditation (e.g. ICE, IHT)
